This past Sunday, the family, friends and Masonic Brethren including our current Grand Master M:.W:. Robert Lambert, the Grand Line, Worshipful Masters and lodge officers here in the State of Florida as well as Brothers from other Masonic Jurisdictions gathered in Ballroom C at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando to celebrate the incredible and personal life of our most revered Past Grand Master M:.W:. Thomas L. Turlington Jr., who passed to the Celestial Lodge Above on May 27th, by 1:30pm the entire ballroom was filled to capacity and there was not a single chair left, it was literally standing room only.
After some prayer, reflection and music, M:.W:. Steven Boring, Past Grand Master (2015) opened up the dais to anyone who wished to speak about M:.W:. Tommy but for some it was a profoundly difficult moment because of the emotional felt. M:.W:. Tommy always gave a positive outlook to anyone he met and spoke to both on a Masonic and Personal leave, he made many...many friends because of this..
Following the memorial service a reception was held in the Ballroom Foyer. Finger foods as well as deserts and non-alcoholic drinks were served by the Rosen Plaza Food and Beverage staff.
Most Worshipful Tommy was not only a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather he was one of the most incredible dedicated Freemasons around and we will miss you M:.W:.
