DDGM's final official visit for 2020 at Corinthian Lodge No. 191

Brethren, as a reminder R:.W:. Anthony L. Pickren, District Deputy Grand Master of the 21st Masonic District will be holding his final official visit for 2020 at Corinthian Lodge No. 191 on November 5th. Dinner will be at 6:30pm followed by the Stated Communication/Official visit at 7:30pm. The schedule for the second round of DDGM official visits for the winter schedule will start in 2021 and be posted accordingly.

While it is not required it is suggested officers and brethren wear a suit and tie.

W:. Wink Dillard hospitalized

Brethren;

I've just been notified that W.·. Wink Dillard was hospitalized over the weekend due to a case of Atrial Fibrillation (Afib).  W.·. Wink had serious shortness of breath, was diagnosed with the Afib in the ER, and is scheduled for a heart cath this morning.  He is currently in Room B-5113 but is not able to have visitors.  If we get any updates, we'll pass them along!

Please keep W.·. Wink, his daughter, and family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Placid Lodge 282 welcomes the District Deputy Grand Master

The Worshipful Master and brothers of Placid Lodge No. 282 went all out for the District Deputy Grand Master's official visit last night, for supper (Dinner for R:.W:. John Miller) we were served steak with fried shrimp, baked potato and string beans. R:.W: Pickren and his committeemen thank W:. Robert Chatterton for Placid No. 282's hospitality.

Funeral Request

Brethren, We have just received another funeral request for this coming Thursday October 22nd, at the Auburndale Memorial Park (1889 W. Derby Avenue, between Recker Highway and Thirnhill Road for W:. Charles Etherton, Past Master of Winter Haven Lodge No. 186 who passed to the Eternal East on Saturday morning October 17th. It will be a 11:00am graveside service so GLOVES and APRONS at 10:30am.

I realize this is short notice, but the family just contacted us this afternoon. If you are available, PLEASE get back to me as soon as possible. Our Masonic service will be the only service for W:. Etherton.

Important message from the Worship Master of Tuscan Lodge No. 6

Tuscan Lodge No. 6 will be dark on October 8th because too many Members will be absent. However, W Ted Grubbs has agreed to conduct a School of Instruction on opening-closing the Lodge and/or catechisms. Please contact him if you are interested and will be present.

An EA degree will be conferred at C191 in Mulberry on October 15th at 7:30 PM.
