History of the 21st Masonic District

The 21st Masonic District was officially constituted on July 1st, 2017 under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida. During the proceedings of the 188th Grand Communication legislation was passed requiring the redisticting of ever Masonic district and zone in the State of Florida, as a result the 24th Masonic District in Polk County and the 25th Masonic District in Hardee and Highlands counties became the new 21st Masonic District which would now consist of fifteen lodges in a 100 mile radius traversing through the Central and West Central regions.

A major change in the 21st Masonic District occurred on December 28, 2020 when Bowling Green Lodge No. 121 and Fort Meade Lodge No. 160 completed a merger of their lodges with Fort Meade as the surviving lodge. The number of districts in the lodge was brought down to fourteen lodges.

M:.W:. Richard Hoover our Grand Master appointed R:.W:. Lowell Thomas Craze to serve as the first District Deputy Grand Master of the new 21st Masonic District. Sadly R:.W:. Craze passed to the Celestial Lodge Above on August 31, 2018 two months after completing his term as our DDGM.
