Urgent Message: Passing of R:.W:. Dennis C. Ricker

Brethren, we received the following message from Grand Lodge about the passing of R:.W:. Dennis Ricker.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we notify you of the passing of R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker. Please see the remarks below we received from R:. Larry D. Duff:


It is with great sadness that I inform you of the Passing to the Celestial Lodge above of R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker on January 25th, 2020 at about 8:15pm of Leesburg Lodge No. 58. R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker was a Master Mason for 20 Years, 8 months and 19 days.
R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker moved to Yuma, Arizona a few months ago and became ill. He and Lady Ginny moved back on January 6th, 2020 residing with his daughter at the time of his passing.
Prior to becoming a Freemason, R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker retired from the United States Navy, holding the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He went on to work for the Virginia Retirement System (Senior Program Analyst), Jackson Hewitt Tax Service (Manager) and owner of Dennis C. Ricker Tax Service.

R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker was also an active member of Wildwood Lodge No. 92, Umatilla Lodge No. 65, The Villages Lodge No. 394 and Memorial Lodge No. 15. R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker was the recipient of several Honorary Memberships to other Lodges.

During his years as a Master Mason, R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker, was very active both in the Lodge, District and Grand Lodge levels. Serving as Grand Pursuivant in 2012 (M∴W∴ Jorge L. Aladro), District Deputy Grand Master to the 18th Masonic District in 2010 (M∴W∴ J. Dick Martinez), District Instructor in 2008 and 2011, Grand Representative 2013, Worshipful Master of Leesburg Lodge No. 58 in 2005 & 2007, Worshipful Master of Memorial Lodge No. 18 in 2013 & 2014, Secretary of Leesburg Lodge No. 58, Wildwood Lodge No. 92 and Memorial Lodge No. 18 for a total of twelve years.

R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker also served on the Grand Lodge Committee on Work for five years, Foreign Relations Committee for four years, Penal Affairs Committee for two years, Masonic Leadership Training Instructor for two years, Jurisprudence Committee, Grand Masters Coordinating Committee, Workshop for Lodge Officers, Wardens Workshop Committee, Masonic Education Committee, Perpetual Membership Committee and MH-100 Committee.
R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker was more than just a Brother Mason, he was friend and mentor to many in the Lodge, District and to whoever came his way.

R∴W∴ Dennis C. Ricker is survived by his wife, Lady Ginny, sons and daughters.
Service arrangements have not been made at this time; Lady Ginny requests no flowers be sent. Notifications of service and arrangements will be made when known.
