On Wednesday W:. Dennis Wind, Worshipful Master-Elect, W:. Jerry Haynie, Current
Worshipful Master, Bro. Tom Wilson, Secretary-Elect and Bro Chuck Hicks, Senior
Warden of Winter Haven Lodge No. 186 returned to the former Winter Haven Masonic
Temple at 375 Avenue A SE in Winter Haven to retrieve the lodge's Cornerstone,
while the Cornerstone was being removed they discovered two small capsules
inside. W:. Wind has been in touch with Grand Lodge for guidance for the
procedure to reopen the capsules, whether it has to be reopened by the Grand
Master since it was the Grand Master who placed it there over 60 years ago or if
it can be reopened by the Worshipful Master,
The Cornerstone will be placed and rededicated at the new Winter Haven Masonic Temple on Recker Highway following some required construction work on the exterior and interior of the building.
