Lake Wales Masonic Lodge 242 adopted the Dr. John C. Haromy Dog Park.
The park is located at 650 South 9th Street and is named after the city's
first veterinarian. This shaded dog park features separate areas for
small-medium and large dogs.
The Lodge also maintains 9th Street with the Keep Polk County Beautiful
program, so it was a natural fit for the group to adopt the dog park earlier
this year. Shay Irvis, the city’s events and venues manager, recognized the
group’s efforts with a certificate and a new sign.
